The College of Jewish Studies Official Register 1967-1968

By David Weinstein

The College of Jewish Studies Press, October 1967

The College of Jewish Studies is, in many respects, a unique institution. It is (to publication date) the only non-denominational institution of higher Jewish learning in the Midwest fully accredited by the State of Israel and approved as an Illinois teacher education institution. It is fast becoming a Department of Judaica common to many of the institutions of higher learning in the Chicago area. Freedom of inquiry for the advancement of Jewish learning is the only "limiting" philosophy of The College of Jewish Studies. This report includes a detailed description of college's organization, courses of instruction in the departments of Hebraic and Judaic studies, special programs (summer school, cooperative program with Roosevelt University), and details of affiliated organizations.
