Study of Jewish Education in The San Francisco Area

By Louis L. Ruffman

American Association for Jewish Education, June 1967

This study surveyed the Jewish educational system of San Francisco's metropolitan area. The survey focused on the community climate for Jewish education, the schools' pupils and programs, and the functioning of the Bureau of Jewish Education. The report details some of the findings and presents certain guidelines and proposals directed toward improving the quality of the schools and their level of achievement. For the most part, the suggestions involve a process of interaction between the Bureau and the schools.`
