An Evaluation of The General Studies Program of The Beth Jacobs Schools

By Adolph J. Koenig

Educational Service Bureau, Temple University, June 1965

This is a report of a study of the General (secular) Studies program of the Beth Jacob Day School. The evaluation deals with the atmosphere in the classrooms, the relationship between teacher and students, and the level of achievement. The evaluators concerned themselves with the total program, including curriculum, texts, achievement, and the relationship between the philosophy of the school and its actual achievements. Some personal opinions on a number of items were added, such as use of faculty, tuition fee rates, responsibility of Board members, and the issue of supervision.
