A Report on An Evaluation of The Fellowships in Jewish Educational Leadership (Fijel) Program

The Institute for Jewish Life (IJL) instituted a program which Is called "Fellowships In Jewish Educational Leadership" (FIJEL), which was to be for the field of Jewish education a fellowship program similar to the prestigious Danforth Fellowships. This report is an evaluation study of FIJEL, which includes: a review of all FIJEL and IJL records related to the FIJEL program; an interview with the Mentors of the Graduate School of the Teachers Institute of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America and of the Ferkauf Graduate School of Yeshiva University; a meeting and interview with FIJEL students in the New York area; a review and analysis of the first three items; recommendations and comments.
