This is a study of Jewish education in Scranton, PA. The areas of the study include: the relationship of the Council to the educational agencies and schools; the quality of Jewish education in each of the above-mentioned schools and agencies; the present and emerging patterns of Jewish education in Scranton; and the present and future financial needs of the Jewish educational programs involved in the study. In addition, a special assessment was made of Jewish secondary education in the community; the professional growth program; parent education; teacher recruitment; and the co-curricular activities in the synagogues and at the Jewish Community Center.
