To Offer Direction or to Provide Services?

Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI), December 1995

This editorial calls on the Joint Authority for Jewish Zionist Education to seriously consider whether it is primarily a provider of educational services or whether it is also a leader offering new directions for Jewish education. Advocating for the latter, the editors think that Jewish groups coming to Israel should not be spoon-fed the safe propaganda of their sponsors, but rather confronted with real ideas and issues pertaining to the Jewish future.
