Representative Practices: Mergers, Consolidations, Strategic Alliances and Efficiencies in the Federation Movement

Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), July 2011

JFNA collects representative practices in a number of key areas to benefit the Federation movement. The goal is to facilitate information sharing and disseminate knowledge within our Federation system. This information is being made available on the interoffice website and through a range of professional development venues.

In response to the economic downturn, declining community resources, and changing trends and needs, JFNA is driving Federations to look at models and structures differently and introduce efficiencies. JFNA strongly encourages Federations to take a proactive role in examining their internal operations, and to work in collaboration with local Jewish agencies, synagogues and organizations to streamline operations, consolidate infrastructure, and improve service delivery systems.
