Report on Surveys of Donors and Non-donors for the United Jewish Appeal-Federation

Penn and Schoen Associates, UJA-Federation of New York, September 1995

This is a report of surveys of donors and non-donors to the United Jewish Appeal-Federation (now the UJA-Federation of New York). The report finds that both donors and non-donors have an overall positive impression of the organization. However, non-donors tend to over-estimate the proportion of donations that go toward administrative costs. The report analyzes the characteristics of non-donors and offers recommendations on increasing the donor pool of the organization.
