Iran's Nuclear Weapons Program and How to Counter It

By Daniel Schwammenthal

American Jewish Committee (AJC), November 16, 2011

Daniel Schwammenthal presents the steps necessary for the international community to take in order to derail Iranian attempts to produce a nuclear weapon. In this speech to the European parliament's Delegation for Relations with Israel he highlights the politicization of the IAEA under Mohammed ElBaradei, and the failure of engagement to slow Iranian progress. Europe must seriously undertake a regime of crippling sanctions to keep Iran from producing fissile material for a nuclear weapon.
