Where Is God in Our Justice System?'

By Judith Clark

Josh Rolnick, The Sh'ma Institute, September 2012

Clark, a prisoner serving a life sentence for her role in the 1981 Brinks robbery in which three men were killed, reflects on the themes of repentance and forgiveness in the Book of Jonah. Just as Jonah found rescue and new purpose from God in his confinement within a great fish, Clark writes that her own confinement in prison has provoked her to repent her crime.
