Synagogue Social Service Work

By William Rosenau

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), April 1915

The author regrets that communal Jewish philanthropic work has been so completely delegated away from the synagogue and towards separate and distinct charitable institutions. He suggests a reintegration of social service work into the synagogue, and describes, as a model, the structure developed for this purpose by the Eutlaw Place Temple of Baltimore.
