Right In The First Place

By Leonard Fein

Moment Magazine, September 1975

As Israel faces increasing international political pressure for its engagements with surrounding Arab Nations and the Palestinians in its midst, many missteps have been made. The Case for Israel should be a strong one, but three distinct failures in message and action have made Israel and uncomfortable antagonist in the global theater. Reliance on the Holocaust narrative, reliance on American doctrinal support, and the mishandling of the Palestinian situation have made the case for Israel much harder then it ought to be.
