This article is an overview of the year, 2002, in Western Europe. Domestic and international affairs, such as Israeli-Palestinian relations, were discussed with a specific focus on the role of Western Europe. Other issues related to the Jewish community were also analyzed, such as antisemitism. Demographic information on the Jewish communities of Western Europe were provided and the article sheds light upon the communal affairs of Western European Jews.
