This article is an overview of the year, 2002, in Central and Eastern Europe. Domestic and international affairs, such as the War on Terror, were discussed with a specific focus on the role of Central and Eastern Europe. Other issues related to the Jewish community were also analyzed, such as antisemitism. Demographic information on the Jewish communities of Central and Eastern Europe were provided and the article sheds light upon the communal and cultural affairs of Jews in this area.
