The Palestine Relief Ship

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), March 1915

The author describes the relief efforts of American Jews towards Jews in Palestine, efforts which could not be realized until the United States Navy offered 900 tons of space on the ship "Vulcan," headed towards the Middle East. With a month's notice, the community stocked the hold with eighty thousand dollars worth of food and medicines.
