By Leonard Fein

Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds, 1972

During the 20th century, Jews climbed rapidly up the social strata of America, identifying and assimilating into the singular secularism of the American Republic. However as the relative financial and educational advantages that Jews have over the rest America even out, there is a new space for re-identification and embracing of Jewish faith. The two kingdoms of the modern State, The Kingdom of Caesar (the secular) and the Kingdom of God (Judaism) will find a new balance.
