Shouting but Not Hearing

By Leonard Fein

Forward Association, 2010

One can reject the ritual invocation of symmetry that the right and left are equally to blame for the collapse of discourse on Israel. The left surely has some measure of blame, but the right keeps trudging rightward, kicking more and more out of the pro-Israel tent, and drowning out their concerns with ideological chants. In between is the large swath of Jews who care deeply about Israel, and human rights as well, who acknowledge the difficulty of peace making. And they have no voice.
