A Tale of Two Citizens

By Leonard Fein

Forward Association, 2010

The bureaucratic madness of the Jewish state comes up again and again, here denying the marriage rights of a Jewish couple, there destroying the home of a Bedouin citizen. Not married by an Orthodox Rabbi? Apparently freedom of religion does not cover that. Unable to get a permit to build a house in your own village? Build anyway, and hope that the bulldozers don't roll in.
