Rediscovering the Soul in Jewish Communal Practice

By Saul Hofstein

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), December 1979

The author comments on the preceding article in this issue, "Translating Jewish Commitment into Practice" by Leonard Fein. The author agrees with Dr. Fein regarding the centrality of Jewishness to the Jewish communal field, but respectfully disagrees with Dr. Fein's definitions of a few of the relevant issues, including definitions of "Judaic success." In Journal of Jewish Communal Service, v.56 no.2, Winter 1979.
