By Lynn Moriarty

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), January 1997

In order to better understand family violence in the Jewish community, we must first understand the basic dynamics and issues connected with domestic violence in general. This article is based on the experience of a Jewish Family Service agency that has been providing domestic violence services to Jews and non-Jews for over thirteen years. Specific areas of interest and concern as they relate to domestic violence in the Jewish community are addressed. In Journal of Jewish Communal Service, v.73 no.2/3, Winter/Spring 1996/1997.
