From 2000-2003, Concordia University in Montreal was home to a very public and intense confrontation between pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian groups. This article tells the story of these years, focusing on two major points of tension: the violence surrounding former Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's planned campus visit in 2002 and the suspension of the campus Hillel that same year.
