What is Adequate Relief?

By S.B.

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), August 1, 1913

The author suggests a standard for adequate living - according to which adequate relief can be calculated, but argues that the real problem for Jewish relief societies is not a lack of some accepted standard of relief but the lack of funds to act on such a standard. In Bulletin of the National Conference of Jewish Charities 1913-1914, Baltimore, Vol.IV:1, ed. Lee F. Frankel.
