By Gerald B. Bubis, Holly Hollander, Deborah Burg-Schnirman, Esti Li Dar

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), 1991

The research described in this article was undertaken to evaluate whether the educational training offered by the Hebrew Union College School of Jewish Communal Service was responsive to both societal trends and those in the Jewish communal field. It found that its graduates are indeed provided with the Jewish education and identity critical to the field. To ensure that educational training remains relevant, a close partnership between schools and professionals in the field is essential.
