Forging Jewish Links: Connecting the Unconnected

By Annette M. Botnick, Elaine R. Rotenberg

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), Spring 2007

The authors discuss Forging Jewish Links, a program of Palm Beach Family Service initiated to promote synagogue involvement by using active seniors as mentors to young families. Exit surveys of Forging Jewish Links participants indicate that they feel more comfortable being in synagogue, feel more connected to the larger Jewish community, and see synagogue membership as more probable in their future.
