Vocational Services in the Framework of a Jewish Family Service Agency

By Larry S. Greenbaum, Leah Temkin

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), Summer 2007

The authors describe the experience of Jewish Family and Children's Service of Minneapolis with the integration of vocational services into their agency. They also briefly discuss similar experiences of Jewish family service agencies in Denver, Columbus and Pittsburgh. Providing vocational services within a Jewish Family Service agency adds balance and scope, enhances the programming and fiscal position of the JFS agency, and benefits the clients and community, the authors contend.
