In a speech given at the Latin American Conference for Jewish Lay and Professional Leadership held in 2001, Alberto Senderey explores the sequence of destruction in history in order to discuss how democratic and pluralistic modern Jewish communities are. He asserts that Jewish communities should be dynamic, ever changing, and always open to diversity in culture and thought.
