Welcome to Second Life

With over 2.5 million users, Second Life is a virtual world composed of users who interact with one another through their avatars, which are simply virtual representatives of themselves. Amazingly, in a time when Jewish organizations are scrambling to attract more members, Jewish youth are flocking to Jewish communities existing in this online world. With the creation of Second Life Synagogue - Temple Beth Israel, a relaxed haven for Jews on the other end of the computer to congregate, Jews and non-Jews alike can interact with the friends that they've made in a community that may be virtual, but is still a tangible part of their lives.
