Nonprofits Mull Staff Shortages

By Rebecca Spence

Forward Association, November 10, 2006

The author discusses the reasons behind the noticeable decline of fund-raisers hosted by Jewish nonprofits organizations. Furthermore, there has been a decrease in the number of development professionals willing to work for these nonprofit organizations. The author attributes these reductions in workforce and output to increasing competition from secular organizations, a decline in job-satisfaction in the Jewish sector, and the disproportionate percentage of women involved in these Jewish institutions.
