This article presents in brief a miscellaneous sample of happenings in Jewish communities around the world. These include: a brief analysis of President Kennedy's acknowledgment of changes in the field of social work, updates in prominent positions in the field of Jewish communal service, and an "exchange of views" between a faculty member of the Yeshiva University School of Social Work and the director of the Youth Department of the Ministry of Education and Culture in Israel. As well, news items such as a collaborative program of rabbis and social workers in New Jersey and the opening of a new home for the aged are reported.
