Fact and Opinion

By Samuel Spiegler

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), National Conference of Jewish Communal Service, Fall 1968

This article presents in brief a miscellaneous sample of happenings in Jewish communities around the world. It reports the findings of a study of Jewish unemployment in 1967, the successful endeavors of the Young Israel Employment Bureau, the low percentage of Jewish sex offenders, the distribution of a new international day care manual, and the flight of 20,000 Jews from North African countries in the year following the Six-Day War. As well, a letter to the editor calls for a follow-up of an earlier study on field work students' perceptions of Jewish community centers.
