Consultation of Jewish Teachers - Proceedings

Coalition for Alternatives in Jewish Education, December 19, 1983

These proceedings are the result of a conference convened by the American Jewish Committee Board of Governors. The aim of the conference was a consultation with Jewish education professionals - meant to allow Jewish communal professionals and lay leaders to hear directly from Jewish educators about the current status, needs, and challenges of Jewish education. The morning panels on "The curricular and Identity Formation Goals of the Jewish Schools," and "The Jewish Teacher and the Broader Community" and the afternoon day school and supplementary school workshop sessions are transcribed, along with the ensuing discussions.
