The National Conference of Jewish Communal Service (NCJCS) speaks on behalf of more than 2000 Jewish communal workers in the resolutions it offers in the summer of 1971. The NCJCS takes several positions in areas of foreign and domestic life, including calling on authorities in the US and USSR to help alleviate the plight of Soviet Jews, calling on the United Nations to recognize the abuse of human rights of Jews in certain Arab countries, supporting the right of 18-year-olds to vote, and opposing the increase of infringements on individual Americans' privacy and freedom of speech.
