A Community of Communities: Report of the Commission on Representation of the Interests of the British Jewish Community

Institute for Jewish Policy Research (JPR), March 31, 2000

The authors examine how the interests of the British Jewish community are represented on various levels—within the community, among Jewish communities elsewhere and in the wider society—and make recommendations as to how the representation of those interests can best be organized for the twenty-first century.  This is considered in relation to how the community represents its interests among Jewish communities elsewhere in Europe.  The authors aim to outline the challenges facing the community and to identify, wherever possible, future trends and issues that the community needs to take into account in order to thrive within Britain while maintaining its distinctive identity.
