Footprint Forward

By Rebecca Oshins

Coalition for the Advancement of Jewish Education (CAJE), Fall 2008

The author describes "Footprint Forward", a program sponsored by the NYU Bronfman Center for Jewish Life that challenges students to spend a week of their lives living as close to "no-impact" as possible. The program is inspired by Colin Beaven, who suggests that if a person refrains from acts that have negative effects on the earth then or she could live impact-free on the world.
