Jewish Population Projections

By Sergio DellaPergola

Big Tent Judaism / Jewish Outreach Institute (JOI), 2006

This survey calculates the population projections for American Jewry through the year 2080. The findings show that even if the intermarriage rate drops to zero, the population will still decrease by more than a third of 1990 levels. In addition, if the status quo is maintained, the decrease is even greater, however it adds that successful outreach could actually grow the numbers of the Jewish community in the future.
