Hillel Club of the University of Iowa, November 1929

This first publication of the University of Iowa's Hillel highlights the new strength exhibited the organization through its student board and new faculty advisor. The newsletter includes several articles emphasizing the importance of Jewish students immersing themselves in Jewish culture in order to preserve the uniqueness of the Jewish people. Other articles highlight social and educational events sponsored by Hillel and demonstrate the growth of the club over the years. Male and female students are both featured, and modest advertisements reflect the surrounding environment of 1929 Iowa.
