Comment: Effect of Increased Public Funds on Jewish Federations and Agencies

By A. L. Sudran

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), National Conference of Jewish Communal Service, Fall 1957

This piece comments on Max S. Perlman's paper on the effects of increased public funds on Jewish federations and agencies. The author highlights that Perlman comes from a part of the country where standards in use for public funds are relatively high as compared to other parts of the country where Jewish hospitals for example may not receive any public funds. The author explains how it is necessary for Jewish agencies that aren't receiving sufficient support to be more aggressive towards getting more action from the federal level. The piece concludes commending Perlman's work.
