Report of the Thirtieth Year of the Jewish Publication Society of America (1917-1918)

This report documents the proceedings of the twenty-ninth annual meeting of the Jewish Publication Society of America, which took place on March 24, 1918, at Dropsie College in Philadelphia, PA. Among the topics discussed are: the thirtieth anniversary of the Society; the successful sale of nearly 40,000 copies of the JPS Bible; a reiteration of the necessity of creating a Jewish Bible Society; and new publications, including "The Story of Bible Translations" by Max L. Margolis. The proceedings of the meeting are outlined, and members nation-wide are listed by name, by state of residence. The Society's charter and by-laws are also included, along with a list of books issued by the JPS.
