Toward a Queer Jewish Theology

By Jay Michaelson

Jewish Family & Life (JFL Media), December 2005

Michaelson discusses how sexuality matters when thinking about God. The non-normativity of GLBT identity can be a productive contributor to theological discourse. Rejecting the notion of binary gender and normative sexuality undermines tendencies in theological thinking to categorize, becoming open to categories beyond our imagination and experience, closer to realization.
