The Education of the Psychiatrist for Work Within an Agency Setting

By W. K. McKnight

Jewish Communal Service Association of North America (JCSA), National Conference of Jewish Social Welfare, March 1951

In the second of two consecutive presentations covering this topic, the author responds to Ethel S. Wannemacher's presentation on the educational process for agency psychiatrists by explaining that the improvement of the hospital training program for psychiatrists has come as a direct result of new understandings of the hospital as a social work treatment agency.
