Voluntary giving to Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds today is on a scale unequalled by any group in the history of private philanthropy. Jewish Welfare Fund campaign totals being rolled out by big cities and small towns from coast to coast are impressive when compared with the substantial gains made during the war years and especially with non-sectarian giving today. The results in the current campaigns reflect credit to the volunteer and professional leadership. This piece highlights specific aspects of positive trends in fundraising within the Jewish community across the United States highlight the success of current campaigns.
