This article explores the trends and future of planning for community services. With the echoes of war fading rapidly into the past, American communities have turned their energies to long-delayed replanning of many community services. A new era of study and evaluation is focusing the spotlight on many of our social institutions. This trend has made a deep imprint in Jewish communal planning and innumerable communities now are reevaluating and replanning their services for the enrichment of Jewish group life.
