Walking the Walk

By Rela Mintz-Geffen

Jewish Family & Life (JFL Media), February 2006

The author reflects on what the motto of Conservative Judaism should be today to best express its members' aspirations, needs and impulses. Emphasizing that laissez-faire attitudes, lack of clear group norms and minimal demands do not make compelling associations, she concludes the new motto might be "Derekh Masorti: We talk the talk and walk the walk."
