Book Review: Approaching Jewish Law

By Ken Koltun-Fromm

Jewish Family & Life (JFL Media), February 2006

In his review of Elliot Dorffâ??s The Unfolding Tradition: Jewish Law After Sinai, the author applauds Dorff for putting together a masterful collection of Jewish writings on the meaning and function of Jewish law within the Conservative movement in America. The author concludes that Dorffâ??s book performs his theory and we, as his students, are much the better for it.
