Ethically Driven Halakhah

By Judith Hauptman

Jewish Family & Life (JFL Media), February 2006

The author argues that the next chancellor of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America (JTS) must alter the status quo to reinvigorate Conservative Judaism and reverse its downward trend. The tasks at hand are re-articulating the main message, educating Conservative Rabbis, offering free high holiday services to the disenfranchised and taking cognizance of the non-Jews among us.
