Connecting Israel to Jewish Life

By Lisa D. Grant

Jewish Family & Life (JFL Media), March 2008

In reflecting on various ways to engage American Jews with Israel and which side, or sides, of Israel to portray, the author urges us to cultivate a mature love rather than a naive one. Unless we dive into the complications, we will remain at best with a symbolic understanding of why Israel is or should be significant in American Jewish life.
