The Torah of Globalization

By Micha Odenheimer

Jewish Family & Life (JFL Media), January 2006

Reflecting on globalization as one of the most significant developments of our lifetime, the author considers its impact from a Jewish perspective. Examples in the Torah that economic power must be diffused and democratized abound and the prophets rail against the exploitation of the poor at the hands of the rich. As Jews, we must bring our ethical genius to bear on the analysis, exposure, and repair of the current international economic order.
