Our International Presence

By William Recant

Jewish Family & Life (JFL Media), January 2006

The author describes the nonsectarian aid and disaster relief efforts on the part of Jews worldwide. He asserts that our mission to be "a light unto the nations" is a foundational principle for the new role the Jewish community is increasingly playing in the international humanitarian theater. Particularly in light of our history, Jews are actively engaged in this effort because it is the right thing to do.
