Harnessing a Synagogue's Voice

By Erika Katske

Jewish Family & Life (JFL Media), January 2007

The author explores the collective obligation of synagogue members not only to help each other personally to make sense of the world, but also to provide effective ways of improving it. The author urges that power rests in relationship; when we take time to build relationships and leadership among members of our community, we are able to speak for social justice with one voice in the public sphere.
