Properties of Being: Jewish Families

By Marla Brettschneider

Jewish Family & Life (JFL Media), June 2003

The author describes her family-- made up of two women (both of European ancestry, one who was born Jewish, one who converted) and two children (of African heritage). She hopes that both religious and secular Jewish institutions learn how to support and care for the great diversity in families that now exists.
